HOW FAR AWAY ARE THE SURROUNDING TOWNS? ARE THEY REACHABLE BY BIKE?
We are located just 5 km from Corigliano d'Otranto, 5 km from Cutrofiano, 2 km from Maglie, all very inviting places, rich on cultural and leisure facilities. Moving by bike is easy thanks to the many small country roads of the region. We offer free bikes to explore the surrounding countryside.

WHICH SPORTS MAY BE EXERCISED IN THE REGION?
A near located Riding Club offers horse riding lessons and allows you to participate in national competitions. Horseback riding through the magnificent pine forests and along the coast are available through various horse farms along the coast. Not far away on an airfield scenic panoramic flights by ultralight aircraft for enthusiasts and photographers are offered. The relatively high wind security in the Strait of Otranto offers optimal conditions for lovers of wind and kite surfing, especially during the months of spring and autumn.

ARE DOGS AND CATS ALLOWED?
We are happy to accept pets in general, especially cats and dogs (better if not great in size), not least because the owners themselves love animals and have got three cats and a dog. Because of their presence the dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzled in the generally accessible area. The spacious area of the farm allows a well stay for our four-legged friends. We also offer them breakfast.

WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT CULTURAL PATHS IN THE REGION?
Corigliano d'Otranto is situated in the heart of the „Grecia Salentina“, a linguistic island, which includes the villages of Calimera, Carpignano Salentino, Castrignano dei Greci, Corigliano d'Otranto, Cutrofiano, Martano, Martignano Melpignano, Soleto, Sternatia and Zollino, where Greek dialect, the so-called „Griko“ is spoken even today, especially by the older gereation. The little village includes a typical and well-preserved historic center and is proud of an unique cultural, musical, historical and art-architectonical heritage. It is a must to discover the rich socio-cultural activities and to know many of the typical restaurants of Corigliano d'Otranto. Melpignano, another small village making part of „Grecia Salentina", is famous for the annual „Notte della Taranta“ (Night of the Tarantula) but it is also a village of historic importance and architectural beauty. In Cutrofiano the visit to the Museum of Ceramics that documents the local pottery and the production of traditional vases, with adjacent Fossil Park and Museum of Malacology is essential. Among the most important events include the ceramics exhibition in August. Maglie is an important commercial center of the lower Salent who includes an important historical center, which is mainly characterized by majestic palaces and churches of great historical and architectural significance.

WHERE CARS CAN BE PARKED?
Inside the mansion, in the shadow of the olive trees, there is an unguarded car park with direct access to the rooms.
